The Testament – Eric Van Lustbader

Posted by admin | Great Fiction | Saturday 5 February 2011 15:03

Who is the Order of Gnostic Observatines? Do you know?

Braverman Shaw didn’t know either till his father was killed in a suspicious explosion.

Dexter Shaw was the Keeper of The Testament. What?

What Testament?

The Testament.

Christ’s long-thought-lost words that could shake the foundation of Christianity!

Why now is Bravo (Braverman Shaw) involved?

Little did he realize his father had prepared him to be his chosen successor!
All those clue games Bravo used to play as a young man, the secret codes, the attention to detail, and the cloak-and-dagger wars led him to be the new Order leader.

A highly entertaining novel that somewhat “smelled” of a Da Vinci Code theme, but with many different characters and twists and turns.

The Testament is a religious conspiracy thriller that is fast paced and won’t let you put the book down!

I believe you will enjoy The Testament!

Now reading Critical by Robin Cook.

Works fast, downloads books in a second, is very easy to operate!

First book by James Patterson of course!

Now reading some “hardbacks” I also received for Christmas and last birthday.

Still like that “feel.”

Old people find changes are hard to make.

Report on a new read shortly…

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – Stieg Larsson

Yes, I have now read this suspenseful novel!

I know. I know. This is not something new.

But, I didn’t realize my daughter had the book until she said “Here!”

A lot has been written about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!

Controversy has surrounded the book, the author, the movie, and the remake of the movie.

Lots and lots of readers say they cannot put the book down, but a lot of readers say the book is very slow.

I say a lot to learn about yourself when you read this brilliant novel!

We are most always not what we seem by our looks.

The same goes for Lisbeth Salander, a studded, tattooed, dark genius!

The same goes for Martin Vagner, a CEO, privileged family member, serial killer!

This story is about an old man’s love for his long missing niece and his finding out what happened to her forty years ago.

Henrik Vagner, the old millionaire uncle, hires Mikael Blomkvist, a financial journalist, to finally solve the decades old mystery of Harriet Vagner’s disappearance.

Little did Mikael know that the Vagner clan had such deep dark secrets!

Really enjoyed this read! You should too! Get “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” here!

Posted by admin | Best Novels | Sunday 14 November 2010 00:08

I’ve been “gone” for awhile.

Recovering from heart surgery.

A large chisel and hammer were required.

Time for reading. Great reading.

Daniel Silva is one of the best authors in the world.

Moscow Rules proves his prowess!

My new heart was moved, thrilled, and left beating faster!

Gabriel Allon is the man, a current man, not a man of the past.

While Gabriel is working on a restoration for the Pope, also being on his honeymoon, the grandmaster of Israeli security Ari Shamron gets him to investigate the murder of a  Russian journalist.

This investigation leads Gabriel to Russia, the New Russia, where money is now the chief weapon.

One such man of the New Russia is Ivan Kharkov, a wealthy businessman who is selling illegitimate arms around the world.

The plan of action is get inside or close to Kharkov and this sets up a brilliant plot across Europe.

Yes, this is Daniel Silva at his best!  Buy Moscow Rules for yourself.

New Book by Ken Follett – Fall Of Giants

Posted by admin | New Novels | Saturday 11 September 2010 14:31

Got an email from one of my favorite authors, Ken Follett, today announcing his latest work, “Fall Of Giants!”

This is the first of a trilogy from his “Century” series.

The second book is due 2012 and the third 2014.

The release date for “Fall Of Giants” is September 28.

I am really stoked about this new novel and hope to buy one shortly after the release date!

Mr. Follett’s “Pillars of the Earth” mini TV series was a smashing success and will be released on DVD in December. I did not get to see this on TV, but I will buy the DVD and give you a report.

Author Follett is going on an extensive 5 month book signing tour including Atlanta, sure would be nice to meet him and get an autographed copy! Sensational!

You can pre-order your copy here!
