Have our lives changed? Yes, I would everyone say to some degree.

The troubling thoughts and actions of so few affect and effect so many!

Have you ever thought if your child was kidnapped?

Will they come back to you alive?

Will Ambassador Halton’s daughter be used as trade bait?

Gabriel Allon refuses to give in or give up!

No one can locate Elizabeth Halton!

Why did they take her?

Oh, I failed to mention her father is a billionaire!

Seems as if money is indeed the same no matter where you are from!

Gabriel Allon vs. Jihadist extremists, who will get what they want?

The terrorists give their demands and the hunt starts.

To me this great Daniel Silva was in one word “deep”, full of insights into the minds of radical beliefs, life of a killer and his past life with his family, and some of the questions raised by our own government and their methods of dealing with terrorists.

Read the novel, “The Secret Servant!”

Every hackers dream is to disrupt!

Every hackers dream is to steal!

Can hackers bring down our way of life as we know it now?

What did Jack Morrison know?

Why was he murdered?

What does AmMath Corporation have to hide?

St. John Corbeil, President of AmMath, is he a ruthless killer?

Did Lane Ward, Jack’s sister, have anything to do with his death?

Did the National Security Agency have Jack killed?

Wow, a lot of questions raised by the this olde but goode novel about one of Mr. Sandford best characters, Kidd.

Computers are now such a part of just about everyone’s life. We surf the web, we blog, we pay bills, we purchase merchandise, we absorb a lot of instantly breaking news, and probably the latest and greatest dimension is the social media aspect where we closely interact with our fellow computer enerds!

Kidd was a computer expert in a circle of hackers that included Jack Morrison.

Lane received information from Jack in the event of his death to contact Kidd to help her find his killer.

Little did Kidd and his partner LuEllen realize that they was about to step into a government conspiracy that was far “above” the megabits they were used to dealing with!

Yes this is a great novel for the net conspiracy buff!

As always I do not like to reveal to much of the plot and encourage you get “The Devil’s Code” for yourself and enjoy!

Our families were much the same with both fathers working and both mothers homemakers.

Values were taught through our family life.

I am glad my Dad was not a politician, nor my future father-in-law.

The peer pressure was enough, but I cannot imagine being a daughter or son of an American President. Even dating one or the other!

But Michael Garrick, who works at the White House for Edgar Simon the lead counsel for President Hartson, crosses my comfort line as is dating Nora, the President’s daughter.

Nora or Shadow, her Secret Service code name, has the young lawyer spellbound with her thrill a minute lifestyle.

Their first date turns into a “back-breaker” for Michael as he and Nora spot his boss Mr. Simon dropping a package in the woods which they retrieve, open, and keep part of the money enclosed.

This sets off a series of events only a loopy Nora could even dream of!

We go from a tour of the inner White House to the FBI to friends to family to mind-games to political opponents to love to death to losing jobs and just about every other emotion between!

Yes, this is an old read for some of you, but a most intriguing novel!

Well done Mr. Meltzer!

My grandchildren sure made out like bandits!

So did my kids! It seems funny now to say “kids” when they are all over thirty! I’m just twenty-nine!

Got some great gifts myself especially the new books I received!

As I look to the New Year, reading is still my first priority! Does that sound selfish?

Getting lost in a new novel is my only way of escape!

Several Patterson novels including “I, Alex Cross” which I am now enjoying will make 2010 a great reading year!

I hope everyone did as well as me with their gifts!

Happy New Year!
